About LOOK
Look is an elite management and shoot production company where you can find leading Photographers, Stylists, Hair & Makeup Artists, Retouchers and Producers all under one roof. Our production teams in Sydney and Melbourne are responsible for every aspect of the shoot production process including budgetting, casting, locations, crew and logistics.
We have produced shoots for international and local advertising agencies since 1990 and have production alliances in Shanghai, Tokyo, Hong Kong, KL and Singapore. The professionalism of our photographers, artists and producers is widely known and we pride ourselves on delivering commercial image production of the highest standard for our clients.
Our Team
Guy Venables \ Executive Producer \ MDGuy has been involved in the creative industry since leaving school, he went directly into Terence Conrans Studio to work on Habitat Catalogues as a studio technician (a big title for a man who builds and wallpapers sets, constructs kit furniture and puts props where art directors want them.). He worked with some of Londons leading art directors and photographers of the day. After a late Uni visit, he went on to work in account service at Mills & Allan and Pearl & Dean, with a night job as Peter O'Toole's personal dresser in London's West end.
In 1988 Guy moved to Australia and was introduced to the local pro photography scene. Having been inspired, Guy started the very first Stills Production and Management Company in the Australasia region.
Today, Guy is super daddy to his son and manages the company between the Sydney and Melbourne offices, as well as heading up Asia marketing where Look has an excellent reputation.
He is intensly proud of the team at Look and believes they are all superb people, as well as being the nicest bunch of eccentric professionals you could ever hope to meet.
Mark Gardiner \ Senior Producer \ Office ManagerAfter producing photographic shoots in London for a number of years, Mark moved to Sydney to continue producing shoots, but in better weather with colder beer at the end of the day.
Helen Doick \ Senior ProducerAt the age of 6 it was all lycra, sequins and fluorescent blusher for Helen spending years in competitions as a disco dancer, it doesn't appear that much has changed!
Helen graduated in the UK with a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree in Dance and Related Arts, specialising in physical theatre and photography. She went on to work as a contemporary dancer, choreographer and Performance Director. Helen wrote, produced and performed in many productions throughout the UK and parts of Europe including festivals such as Glastonbury. After a number of London productions and events, working with advertising agencies, charities and performance companies, Helen found herself relocating to Sydney in 2000. She has spent the last 8 years producing for various productions and photographic shoots for national and international clients and advertising agencies.
Niki Beeston \ Marketing & Creative ServicesAfter acquiring a degree in business/marketing, Niki has moonlighted in several creative industries ranging from fashion, publishing and the music industry in the capacity of marketing and sales. In order to continue with the creative theme in her career, Niki is now heading up national marketing and creative services for Look.
Andrew Patterson \ Senior Producer \ FashionWorking in fashion advertising land, Andrew has been the Senior Producer of the fashion division for over 2.5 years. Coming across from the Artist Group, Andrew lives, breathes and sleeps it!! He also teaches 3 classes at Sydneys leading business college, FBI The Fashion Business Institute.
Edwina Halloran \ Producer \ Artist Manager \ FashionEddy has a background of boozing throughout some of Sydney's top advertising agencies before making the move across to the shallow and vacuous world of fashion, to which she is perfectly suited.

Alex Porter \ Artist Manager
Having completed two degrees: one in Visual Communications (majoring in photography & digital imaging), and the other in Languages (French and Spanish), Alex has been involved in this industry for 16 years in many capacities. Primarily coming from the photography side of the industry, Alex has worked as a photographic assistant, computer operator, stylist, studio manager, photographic-equipment manager, as well as a graphic designer and website designer. Seeing this as more of a lifestyle rather than just a 'job', Alex's passion for this industry and everything it involves, continues, as she manages the Hair / Makeup / Styling Department at Look.
Michael Carver \ Senior Producer/Office ManagerMichael as been involved in the Australian photography industry for the past 14 years. He joined Look in 2006 and is kept very busy producing shoots in Melbourne.
Katie Guy \ Artist Manager \ FashionHaving completed a Bachelor of Laws, Katie has mastered the art of meeting deadlines whilst paying attention to detail. Katie developed her passion for fashion while working for map magazine in Brisbane and now aspires to be producing photo shoots in the near future.
Monique Malone \ Booker & Artist ManagerMonique has come from a varied background. Starting off in graphic design, she went on the study Screen Print Design (at the school of Fashion), Multimedia (majoring in video production), Fine Art - Media Art and Fine Art - Photography. Monique produced a number of fashion inspired avant-garde films that broke into many national and international exhibitions and film festivals. After all this it seemed fitting that she would land a job at Look.
